The HS code (harmonization code) is a standard international code to describe what you are shipping. This helps customers officers from different countries understand what you are shipping or receiving. This video helps explain it in a simple way. You can also follow this link: https://www.trade.gov/harmonized-system-hs-codes. When you are first researching the HS codes you can google what the HS code is for product you are shipping. Some items are very unique and will require you to look through the HS code list to see what is the most appropriate.
